Newmarket Premixes was created in 1994 by veterinary surgeon Robert Lees after undertaking a sceptical review of the evidence base for equine feed supplements available at this time. The company was initially established to provide high quality information and supply independently tested and cost effective nutraceuticals to veterinary surgeons. It’s range has since expanded.
All Newmarket Premix products have been developed on the basis of clinical need. Research and development has been conducted by leading veterinary surgeons appropriate to individual areas. In conjunction with reputable UK manufacturers, products have been innovated, in some cases rediscovered, formulated and tested in house before being made available to the veterinary market.
We believe that individual veterinary surgeons are best placed to evaluate evidence of efficacy, as opposed to poor quality industry sponsored research and marketing hype, and to advise their clients accordingly. Long term professional (and therefore business) success will be judged on cost/benefit calculations and ultimate outcome.
As far as possible we try to source raw materials from the UK and all finished products are manufactured within the U.K.
