What Is It

Adjustable aluminium splints designed to reinforce a Robert Jones bandage in order to provide additional rigidity  Splints should be positioned strategically to resist movement/distracting forces appropriate to the fracture or suspected fracture. These provide the greatest flexibility and are adjusted to individual horse and regional needs when fitted. They are spring locked, secure, tolerated well and have been used in fore and hind-limbs at all stages of emergency support including transport and induction of general anaesthesia. The splints are made from hollow 38x18mm aluminium stock. Two lengths are available one which extends from 35 to 67cm and the second from 55 to 87cm. the splints also stack producing rigid support of any length.
