Gastroraft

A highly palatable emulsion, formulated to be easily given before exercise or after feeding. Horses have evolved to eat a diet of herbage high in fibre/calcium and low in starch for up to 18 hours a day. Their stomach is therefore usually full of food and saliva, which acts as a buffer between the poorly protected upper non- glandular area and the strong acidic fluid contents sitting in the well protected lower glandular area.
When horses are restricted in either the amount and or time they have access to a high fibre diet this protective buffering layer is reduced and the natural ph gradient within the stomach is compromised. By giving Gastroraft before exercise or between meals this protective buffering ph gradient can be re-established.

• Ponies up to 300kg – 30ml
• Horses up to 500kg – 50ml
• Horses over 500kg – 70ml

Gastroraft is designed to be given before exercise and between meals. It may be fed up to four times daily for up to six weeks if necessary, or continually once daily before exercise.
